Two members of Diplomats Without Borders (DWB), Ms Wu Ye-Min and Ambassador Abdul Hannan, conducted a two-day training titled “Multilateral Diplomacy and Conflict Resolution” at the Foreign Service Academy (FSA) in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This was a follow up to last year’s maiden successful program of DWB in Bangladesh. Ambassador Mashfee Binte Shams, Rector of FSA Bangladesh, stated that the training was “excellent, substantive & very fruitful” and the same should be organized by FSA “ year after year”. The training course was attended by 38 young diplomats from Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Mauritania, Nigeria, Zambia, and Cameroon. The participants were unanimous in their positive appraisal of the training and specifically highlighted the simulations on multilateral diplomacy and conflict resolution negotiations, blended with personal anecdotes of facilitators, as very useful and adding substantial value to their understanding and skills.
